Product Information

The level of collagen in the human body decreases with aging, causing the skin to lose its elasticity and laxity. At the same time, wrinkles begin to emerge on the neck and face. Thermage skin tightening systems (which are comprised of several components and accessories) are able to treat these signs of aging for younger looking skin. Purchase Thermage TK Skin Marking Paper 0.25cm2 or 3.00cm2 from Medical Device Source to improve the outcomes of Thermage treatment.

Thermage TK Skin Marking Paper is mainly used to delineate a specific treatment site to prevent overlapping treatment. It also helps to ensure that the whole surface area is treated. The paper and ink are specially designed to work with Thermage treatment systems. Thermage systems essentially work on the principle of monopolar/bipolar radiofrequency heating. They heat subcutaneous tissues to stimulate skin regrowth and destroy local adipocytes. Ultimately, these actions improve the look of cellulite and wrinkled, loose skin. Thermage TK Skin Marking Paper is non-invasive and non-sterile. Through the transfer of ink dot grid to the skin surface, it allows for accurate spacing of subcutaneous injections, so this product helps make Thermage treatment more straightforward and accurate. Thermage TK Skin Marking Paper does not contain latex. It is supplied in six single-patient pouches, with each pouch containing marking paper for one patient, and comes along with a package insert. This product is intended for use by physicians only; US law restricts its sale to a doctor. Thermage TK Skin Marking Paper is a product of Solta Medical, a medical device corporation headquartered in California, United States. Founded in 1996, Solta Medical now operates as a subsidiary of Bausch Health.

Thermage TK Skin Marking Paper is designed for single use only. As such, discard this paper after it has been used. For usage instructions, read all operating instructions (including the package insert) carefully. Before using the skin marking paper, all aesthetic materials, cosmetics, oils, and lotions should be removed from the treatment site. Thermage TK Skin Marking Paper is intended to be used in a well-ventilated area. To use Thermage TK Skin Marking Paper, remove one sheet of the paper from the pouch. Then cut out the desired shape and size. The skin should be cleansed with 70% isopropyl alcohol; do not use saline or other irrigation solutions. Apply the marking paper directly to the treatment site with the ink set down while the skin is still wet with alcohol. Dab the paper using alcohol until the ink is visible. After the ink becomes visible, slowly peel the paper off the skin. Allow the skin to dry. After using Thermage TK Skin Marking Paper, dispose of it in accordance with recycling plans or local regulations. Apply 70% isopropyl alcohol onto the skin again to remove the ink. Finally, cleanse said skin with a warm water solution or mild soap until the ink is fully gone.

To ensure patient safety, all precautions related to the use of Thermage TK Skin Marking Paper should be observed carefully. This skin marking paper is compatible with specified treatment tips from the Thermage range. As previously mentioned, the paper should be used in a well-ventilated place. As a general rule, avoid getting alcohol onto the eyes; if this happens, flush the affected eyes with flowing water for five minutes if the patient experiences any irritation. Before applying radiofrequency energy, allow the flammable agents that are used for disinfecting or cleaning the skin to evaporate. Inspect the packaging of this marking paper before use. Do not use this paper if its pouch has been damaged or opened. In general, the manufacturer does not endorse the concomitant use of aesthetic techniques (e.g. Thermage treatment done in conjunction with dermal filler treatment). The safety and effectiveness of such combinations have yet to be fully established. If you have any question regarding the use of combination treatments involving a Thermage system, contact Thermage customer support for more information. The effects of Thermage treatment on certain patient populations are not well studied; therefore, use of a Thermage system should be avoided in these patient populations whenever possible. These populations include children; patients who are pregnant or breastfeeding; and those with herpes simplex, autoimmune disease, or diabetes.

Thermage TK Skin Marking Paper is unlikely to cause major side effects, provided that all instructions are followed. However, Thermage treatment has a risk of causing minor skin reactions such as bruising, redness, and swelling. Due to their self-limiting nature, such skin reactions usually resolve themselves within 24 hours. Other side effects such as hematoma (collection of blood outside blood vessels) and fat atrophy may also occur. It is believed that radiofrequency has damaging effects on fat cells, causing them to be absorbed. Similar to other procedures that involve cooling and heating, there may be skin damage after Thermage treatment. Hyperpigmentation and hypopigmentation are rare, as Thermage systems do not heat the upper skin layer.

Unlike other aesthetic procedures, Thermage treatment delivers instantaneous results. The results generally last one to two year(s), depending on several patient-related factors, such as skin type and condition. Over the few months, the results of treatment continue to improve. Please note that individual results may vary. If your patients want to have their youthful skin restored, purchase Thermage TK Skin Marking Paper from Medical Device Source to help them achieve that goal with the use of a Thermage system.
