Restylane® should not be used in patients with severe allergies especially if they have experienced previous anaphylactic reactions.
Restylane® should not be used in patients with a history of allergies to gram positive
bacterial proteins.
Restylane® should never be injected into blood vessels.
Do not use Restylane® at the site of an active inflammatory process or infection.
Reaction to Restylane® at the injections site can occur.
Localized superficial necrosis may occur after injection in the glabellar area.
Only use a Restylane® syringe for one patient only. Do not reuse Restylane® syringes on other patients.
With Restylane® injections there is a risk of infection
Restylane® should not be used during pregnancy or in nursing females as the safety of Restylane® in these populations has not been established
Restylane® should not be used in patients under 18 years or age.
Restylane® should not be used in patients with known susceptibility to keloid formation or hypertrophic scarring.
In patients taking immunosuppressive therapy, use Restylane® with caution.
Patients taking medications which disrupt blood coagulation such as aspirin and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs may experience increased bruising or bleeding at injection sites.
Patients should minimize exposure of the treated area to excessive sun and UV lamp exposure and extreme cold weather until any initial swelling and redness has resolved.
